Meta keywords are a series of tags that tell the search engine what is the theme of the web and what are the target keywords for which we want to rank a particular website.
How to create a meta tag keyword in html?
To create a target keyword in html only need to add the following code:
<meta name=»keywords» content=“Palabra clave 1, Palabra clave 2″/>
In the case that we have a page dedicated for sale, coats for women, the code could be:
<meta name=»keywords» content=“Abrigos de mujer, Comprar abrigos de mujer»/>
What are meta keywords?
Currently, the meta keywords is not used for anything at all. Google do not have in consideration since 2009 due to the abuse reiterated these. If Google is found with a meta tag keyword in the source code does not take into account, but neither is going to penalize you. Our recommendation: don't spend time with something that they have no utility.
Why not include meta tag keywords?
- As we have already said, if Google does not account for the website positioning doesn't make much sense to continue with them.
- If we add our keywords, objectives, our competitors may have access to our source code and see what are these keywords. From a strategic point of view it is recommended that you do not disclose the keywords leading to our competition.
